Request to speak at a meeting


For convenience and efficiency, members of the public interested in delegating to Committee or Council are encouraged to submit their request via the on-line delegation form. If uploading documents, the file size must be less than 20MB in size.

Delegation requests, including material to be distributed to Committee of the Whole/Council, must be received by 10 a.m. on the Friday prior to the meeting in accordance with the City’s Procedural By-law.

This information is collected for the purposes of notifying delegates when changes occur to the meeting or the issue they wish to address.  In addition, the City Clerk’s Office may contact delegates if clarification is required or any material submitted encounters technical difficulties.

All materials to be included on the Committee of the Whole/Council public agendas must be submitted with your delegation request.


Collection of personal information


Personal information provided on this form will be used for the purposes of registering delegates and communicating with delegates regarding meetings, agendas and other related matters. Your information may be made public through the course of a meeting and corresponding agendas or minutes.

Personal information, as defined by Section 2 of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001, and in accordance with the provisions of MFIPPA.
